Dive Report – 23 February 2025

Viz – 5-8 Meters (clearing up as the day went on)
Temp – 26 degrees Celsius Top, 24 degrees Celsius Bottom
Current – 4km/ 60min dive (N-S)
Dive 1 -Baited Shark Dive:
Very murky and lots of little particles in the water as we got in … but the low viz made for close encounters!!! For a while we had a single Oceanic Blacktip Shark circle but more joined in and after a few minutes we had a “sharknado” 😂

  • 10 Oceanic Blacktip Sharks🦈
Dive 2 – Southern Pinnacle:
The viz started clearing up on the surface, but still dark as we got to the bottom. A few Oceanic Blacktip Sharks daring in and out from the murky distance throughout the dive.

  • Dolphins and Hammerheads spotted from the boat 🐟🐟🐬
