Welcome to Dive in Adventure Tours, your gateway to the wild, blue heart of the Indian Ocean. Based on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, we specialize in ethical shark diving at Protea Banks, one of the world’s most thrilling dive sites. Our mission is simple — to share the magic of the ocean through unforgettable adventures while protecting the incredible creatures that make it their home.
Founded and led by passionate ocean explorers, Dive in Adventure Tours is built on decades of local diving experience, respect for marine life, and deep love for South Africa’s wild beauty. From the adrenaline of Protea Banks to the calm serenity of Aliwal Shoal, Drakensberg mountains, and St Lucia safaris, we create journeys that blend adventure, culture, and nature.

Our dives are designed to have minimal impact on marine life and habitats, from careful anchoring and drift procedures to choosing eco-friendly materials and avoiding pollution. We see ourselves not as visitors, but as guardians of the reef.
We dive ethically , no feeding, no touching, only small scent trails under strict Marine Protected Area regulations. It’s about witnessing sharks in their natural element and leaving nothing but bubbles behind.

Our skippers and divemasters know Protea Banks like home. With thousands of dives logged here, they understand its moods, currents, and sharks. Their local knowledge ensures safe launches, smooth drifts, and calm, professional guidance.
Personal Safety Gear
Every diver receives a Nautilus Lifeline GPS , a small but vital tracker that guarantees you’re never out of sight or reach. We also provide emergency oxygen, first aid, and full surface support on every trip.
Briefings & Small Groups
Before each launch, we give a clear, detailed briefing covering dive plans, entry techniques, shark behavior, and GPS use. Our groups stay small (maximum 8 divers), so you always get personal attention and space to enjoy the experience safely.
Reliable Equipment & Boat
All gear is regularly serviced, and our boat, the Sea Mamba, is equipped with GPS, radio, safety kits, and all required emergency gear. Our surf launches are handled by a licensed, highly experienced skipper who makes safety look effortless.
